Back in June 2022, Lufthansa Technik formally handed over its first of two converted Airbus A321LR to the German government after seven months of modifications. The second narrowbody was then delivered in late August. The new planes are set to play several roles across Germany’s armed forces, from carrying troops across the Atlantic, to medical evacuation flights.
