Nobuya Sugawa plays Saxophone Solo Recital

Nobuya Sugawa, Saxophone Sugawa is an internationally acclaimed saxophonist whom Japan is very much proud of. He has performed with most of Japanese orch. and also abroad, Philharmonia, BBC Phil. Orchestra d’Harmonie de la Garde Republicaine etc. He has actively commissioned new works for sax to many composers, for ex, F. Say, E. Gregson, Chick Corea, R. Sakamoto, T. Yoshimatsu. Many of these works have become internationally popular and been added to the important classical sax repertoires. He served as concertmaster of Tokyo Kosei Wind Orch. from ’89 to 2010 and the resident conductor of Yamaha Symphonic Band from ‘07 to 2020.
