Paschen Part 1

Johann Georg Paschen’s text “Short though clear description treating of fencing on the thrust and cut” (1661) is presented as a series of lessons, each with around 15 - 25 individual actions. The first lesson introduces some terminology for rapier and then continues with each of the straight thrusts. From there, the lesson introduces mobility, engagements and disengagements.
