DPRK protests as US, S. Korea begin annual military exercises

The United States and South Korea have begun their annual military exercises, prompting warnings of retaliation from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK). The two-week Ulchi Freedom exercise is largely computer-simulated, but still involves around 50,000 South Korean and 25,000 US soldiers.
