The End of Evangelion - Expansion of Blockade - Sefa Emre İlikli & KenBan

Expansion of Blockade is a beautiful, enchanting and difficult piece for violin from “The End of Evangelion“ and it has been in my list for years but I hadn’t found the right person to play it with. 🎻 (There are no complete covers of it on Youtube either.) However, in May, I came across @KenBanMusic’s Youtube channel and listened to all of his wonderful covers (one of them being his own Expansion of Blockade piano solo) and I was filled with so much inspiration that I immediately asked him to play it together. Thankfully he agreed and we had been working on it ever since. I believe this recording turned out very beautiful and I’d like to congratulate my friend KenBan for his sensitive musicianship and attention to detail. You must check his other magnificent covers out: 🎹✨ It’s interesting how music brings people together and removes the so called barriers between us. KenBan is from Japan and I’m from Turkey, but we both love Evangelion and we both wanted to play its music, so there was no reservations between us, only friendship and support for each other. I feel extremely lucky to be able to make music and connect with other souls all around the world so profoundly and sincerely. 🪄🌈🎵 Hope you enjoyed this cover, and if you know any Evangelion fans, don’t forget to share it with them!
