Miquel Barcelo I

Miquel Barcelo is a Spanish painter, born in 1957, in Felanitx, Mallorca. He studied in GH Barcelona. His work is realist and abstract. In paintings such as Biblioteca, his brushstrokes are violent and the image is stern. He recently was commissioned to design a church, El Retablo, to resemble the underside of a ship after years of sailing.
