Recently I experienced a life-altering event. I was in a coma for over a week under full life support and came to the edge of the jumping off point a number of times. The upside is that my perspective has changed. It’s hard to describe, but I feel much lighter. I have more empathy, and an increased feeling of gratitude to be alive.
