Hand forging a simple Viking knife.

I forged this “viking“ knife. I thought it was a historic design but in fact it is a design by Dutch Smith and artist Thijs Van de Manakker, he designed it in the 80s. Based on a early medieval and Roman Knife design. Since then it is made all over the world as a authentic medieval knife. Thijs Van de Manakker did allot for the historical reenactment world and deserves credit and recognition for allot of designs and historical research.
