These days, such albums are generally sought after for featuring Sigi Schwab in their ranks, notable for his work with Et Cetera and Embryo. Psychedelic keyboards galore -- and rare sound library set that mixes the electric piano with the heady organ of Brian Auger -- both jamming here in a batch of long tracks with plenty of freaky production touches! On a much smaller scale than projects like Niagara or Nowy, the New Set did play a similar sort of music, if a little more low-key and easy going. Roland’s keyboard style has a very Dauner edge to it, and Siggi noodles really nicely on the side-long opus that covered side 1 of THE MASTER SAID. The next record LOVE THAT featured a more Krautrock oriented collection of musicians, and a rare session example of Brian Auger, and is a less-jazzy more sedate offering. The main reason for such albums being so obscure is that Selected Sound was a “library“ label, for media (film and TV) use, and not normally for sale to the public. Albums from 1974 onwards are said to be more conventional, with shorter tracks.
