chaldea | pairing Bastl Instruments Kastle and Volca Modular

Thanks for watching! If you enjoyed subscribe for weekly videos! check me out on linktree: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ These two instruments, the Volca Modular and Kastle, were my first experiences with hardware modular synthesizers. I had been using VCV Rack for some time and that was enough to convince me that the modular path was how I could best create and give shape to my ideas. Since getting an eurorack was only a dream at that time I started looking for cheaper alternatives - I stumbled upon an used sale of the first version of the Kastle. This tiny little instrument was, by itself, an amazing experience (and kudos to Bastl Instruments for their awesome instrument line-up). Eventually I added the Volca Modular and the bitRanger - grabbing up what became available locally. It’s been a while since I showed the Kastle some love and I decided to expand on the last video exploring this 7-limit tuning by pairing the it with the Volca Modular. To add some evolving complexity and create some ambience I used the Output Portal VST. Everything was recorded live on Ableton Live! Hope you enjoy :) HARDWARE Korg Volca Modular Bastl Instruments Kastle SOFTWARE Output Portal Ableton Live 11
