027 Archicad GDL Automatic Fall Arrow Part 5 CxLhj8CD-IY

This is the final installment of the automatic fall label that we’ve been working on. If you’ve made this far, I’m impressed! You’re one of the few who are invested in making your life easier later by doing a bit of hard work now. As I said at the beginning, this isn’t sexy – but it is incredibly useful. In this episode, I script the callipers type symbol that is used in section and elevation. I show you how to automatically detect the view you’re in through the global context (GLOB_CONTEXT) command. Then I get into scripting the independent version of the label, as opposed to an attached label. Having a label that only works when attached a single element type isn’t entirely useful. Through this video you will see how important clear logic is when working out your scripts. Completed in ARCHICAD 27.
