ENVE G23 wheelset review – 1st ride, early impressions: 36psi, tubeless tyres. Yeah, on a road bike!

There’s a lot to say about a wheelset when the logic behind what makes them special is a complete turnaround from what has been the school of thought in road cycling for many generations. The ‘G’ in the title of the ENVE G23 wheels stands for ‘Gravel’, but – for the purpose of the #ProjectCaledonia review series – I’ve plonked 32mm Pirelli Cinturato tyres on them to see how they compare with the Zipp 303s wheels I’d been riding for months. – Note: there is strong language in this video. – In this video, you can see the wheels in action with just 36psi in the tyres (as is recommended for a 64kg rider, using Cinturato).
