In 2011, the company went bankrupt and Saab stopped production of the traditional cars. In 2012, a new Swedish company bought the bankruptcy estate, so today Saab belongs to NEVS, which stands for National Electric Vehicle Sweden, which, as the name suggests, only produces electric cars. However, the bankruptcy has not had any consequences for the car owners who have a traditional Saab in the garage - spare parts for the Swedish car are still being produced. However, the price of a used Saab has dropped considerably since bankruptcy, so current owners must expect a higher loss of value if they sell the car.
