Covellite from Butte, Montana

7 x 5 x 2.9 cm This is a very fine specimen of covellite from Butte! This one has numerous bladed crystals of tapered form contrasted with ivory white clay. This could probably be removed but there is a lot of risk to damaging crystals. So I can see why the dealer I bought it from - John Seibel - decided to leave it as it is. This one comes with an old label from August 1960 with a price tag of $!! One of the richest Butte covellite specimens I have seen
