Sea Mosquito - Igitur (full album, 2023)

I’ve been a big fan of Sea Mosquito since their 2019 EP, Inferences, and their 2021 EP Fire, Magic and Venom was one of my favourites of the year, combining a malevolent third wave style of raw occult trance into a kind of experimentalism that was entirely complementary but expands the sound into unorthodox and repeatedly surprising territories, even after multiple listens. Igitur is the band’s debut full length album, and true to form they have produced a compelling, irreverent masterpiece that has no boundaries beyond their spirited creativity. Themes of cosmic horror and urban dystopianism combine into visionary album on a cinematic trajectory of nightmarish, dissonant and propulsive black metal collaged into a soundworld fully realised through the short story that accompanies the album - a full colour 50 page paperback book of text and original illustrations. CD and Cassette editions and the book are available as standalone copies, or combines bundles from Onism Productions now http
