Pussy Riot member says ‘fear is counterproductive’ | BBC News

After the death of Russian opposition activist Alexei Navalny, a member of the Russian protest group said that “fear is counterproductive”. Speaking to the BBC, Pussy Riot’s Olga Borisova said that “we should be more vocal“. The group Pussy Riot rose to fame more than a decade ago after protesting inside Moscow’s cathedral against the orthodox church and its support for Russian President Vladimir Putin. They were arrested at the 2018 World Cup final in Russia, and in 2021 they were listed as “foreign agents“ by the Russian government.
