Chana Dal Ki Barfi is an extremely tasty sweet delicacy in India. The dessert mainly consists of chana dal, sugar, and milk. Chana Dal Ki Barfi is a major dessert on traditional occasions. #Chanadalkibarfi #recipe #diwalispecialrecipe #festiverecipe Ingredients Quantity Chana dal (soaked) 1 ½ cup Milk ½ cup Water as required Ghee ½ cup Sugar 1 cup Saffron (crushed) a pinch for garnish Cardamom powder ½ tsp Cashew nuts (chopped) 1 tbsp for garnish Almonds (chopped) 1 tbsp for garnish Pistachio (chopped) 1 tbsp for garnish Khoya ½ cup Silver warq for garnish. Method. 1. Clean chana dal; soak in lukewarm water for 5-6 hours. Once soaked well, put dal in sieve, drain extra water. 2. Take a pressure cooker add soaked chana dal, milk, water. Cook until 4 whistles. 3. Remove the cooked chana dal in a bowl and keep aside until cool. 4. Once the chana dal mixture is cool; grind it till smooth paste. 5. In a kadai add ghee, chana dal paste and cook on medium flame for 15-20 mins. 6. Add sugar and cook until sugar melts. 7. Now add crushed saffron, cardamom powder, cashew nuts, almonds, pistachio and khoya. Mix and cook on low flame. 8. Take a silicon mold put chopped nuts and crushed saffron and pour the burfi mixture and press well. Keep it aside until cool. 9. Once it is set de-mold the chana dal burfi and garnish with silver vark. Cut it into diamond shape. 10. Chana dal burfi is ready to serve!
