It was sung in Utagoe Movement (うたごえ運動; Japanese singing voice) before the relationship between the Communist Party of Japan and the Korean Workers Party worsened. Nowadays this song, especially those performed by the Pochonbo Electronic Ensemble, is known to Kyōsanshumisha (共産趣味者; socialist culture lovers) and Choson cluster(チョソンクラスタ; North Korean culture lovers) as one of the masterpieces of Korean music.
