Arisaka Type 99 POV firing

Original Type 99 Arisaka made at Nagoya in 1943 (4th Series). Chambered in Japanese. This example still maintains its original monopod and anti-aircraft sights, although it has a mismatched dust cover. These rifles tend to have a bad reputation, but most of it is not deserved. They were simple, reliable, well thought out, and well suited for the harsh jungle environment. I’d argue it’s the best bolt action service rifle of the Axis powers.
