Winter forecast 2023-2024 with a moderate El Niño

Thoughts about winter 2023-2024 update July 19 2023 A strengthening El Niño is developing Expected to reach, moderate to strong El Niño. I think a stronger El Niño is more likely for right now. Expect extreme storms hitting California once again and cold for California in the southern United States, but for the north part of the United States, expect warmer and drier for the Midwest and west coast. And expect the warmest area to be north central United States. The PDO is warming up and that’s normal with an El Niño coming on. NSO has not changed dramatically in the past seven days, but slightly warmer. Greenland waters also affects the US winter it’s getting cooler but still overall warm. Disclaimer this forecast is not my winter outlook 2023-2024 part 4 but i’m showing you what I think of moderate El Niño this winter would look like.
