Full title reads: “Southport. At Britain’s ’Brooklands-on-the-sands’ - 50,000 see speed battle between 30 motor ’babies’ and ’giants’ in the great 100 mile race.“ Southport, Merseyside. Single and double seater motor cars stream past the start line in a race on the beach at Southport. Various shots of the racing cars as they negotiate the sandy course. A group of stills cameramen and photographers are taking pictures of the race. Good shots as several cars skid around a wet corner. Two of the cars come very close to a collision at one point. The winning car races past the chequered flag. C/U of the winning driver in his car as he is presented with a trophy. People crowd around the car.
