Yshai Afterman - “Lomer“. Darbuka - Riqq - Frame Drum Percussion composition

Excited to share another video of a piece from my 2nd album “Naomi“. This percussion composition is called “Lomer“ after a song that my father learned from his mother - My Grandmother “manya, who was a gypsy singer singing the songs of the gypsies of eastern europe while living in Los Angeles. This song with lyrics in Yiddish originally was sung to greet guests who would come for different celebrations and as a family we sing this song in the jewish holiday of Sukot. Its the only instrumental piece in my 2nd album and the only one focusing on percussion. with me on this are: Orel Oshrat - piano and musical production with me. Daniel Sapir - Bass Tula Ben Ari - Vocals. Recorded at Haogen Studio by Shlomi Gvili Mixed by Tomas Spirka Edited by Gil Golan Filmed by Itai Shlemberg
