Ilfracombe is a seaside town and civil parish on the North Devon coast, England, with a small harbour surrounded by cliffs that form part of the Jurassic coastline.
Ilfracombe is the largest harbour on the North Devon coast and has been in existence as a port for several centuries. A tall sculpture called Verity stands on the pier at the entrance to the harbour. Verity is a stainless steel and bronze statue created by Damien Hirst.
Ilfracombe seafront is a lovely place for a walkabout and there are plenty of places to grab some food or the classic fish and chips. During the summer months, you can usually find fairground rides and attractions available for the whole family to enjoy.
Ilfracombe is worth visiting for a day out if you are in the area and or just visiting North Devon.
