Chemistry Revamped E03 | Nanobots part 2: Assembly & Biology

Self assembly is such an important property of living things. Without it, life as we know it won’t be able to exist. In this video, we are going to take a deep dive into the origin and application of self assembly. This series is heavily inspired by 3Blue1Brown’s intuitive explanation style, and I want to be able to create a similar style of content for Chemistry as well. Animated using Keynote, Manim, Avogrado, and VMD The charge animation was modified from 3Blue1Brown’s video on Divergence & Curl, and theorem of Beethoven’s vector fields tutorial the source code can be found here: Photo/video credits: Francis Crick shared the 1962 Nobel Prize in physiology or medicine for helping to discover the structure of DNA.( / courtesy of Salk Institute) Periodic table: 1/#/= Bilayer formation through molecular self-assembly: Nucleic acid related molecules: wikimedia commons Magnetic fillings: petapixels Photo by Molecular Medicine Israel* used under fair use (commentary) Music credits: Old Soul by Jonny Easton Link:
