Taliban Fighters Surround Panjshir Valley; Saleh Defiant, Ahmad Massoud Says ‘Ready for War’

Taliban has reportedly surrounded resistance fighters in the Panjshir valley from all sides. Former Afghanistan vice president Amrullah Saleh confirms that hundreds of Taliban fighters have arrived at the Panjshir entrance. As Taliban clashed with resistance fighters in the surrounding districts, Panjshir was preparing for war. Ahmad Massoud, leader of the anti-Taliban group, said he was hoping for negotiations but was ready for war. Forces loyal to Ahmad Massoud, have established themselves in his Panjshir stronghold.
