Североамериканский мохноногий сыч/Northern Saw Whet Owl (Aegolius acadicus)Catches Vole

This Northern Saw Whet Owl was hunting during the afternoon, and after a missed attempt it caught & ate a vole in front of us. Not very graphic but you can see the size of the vole compared to the owl. Shortly after the owl stashed the rest of the vole in a tree to save for later & proceeded to have a snooze.
