CYLISAX vs Soprano Saxophone

A very quick comparison between my Cylisax Mk3 (made from 1/2“ irrigation pipe) and my gorgeous Borgani soprano saxophone. Pretty surprising how similar the sounds are! I am using a cheap sop sax mouthpiece and a Piezo Barrel pickup. This version of my Cylisax design is a cylindrical bore and a branched tube just below the mouthpiece ( ID). It was inspired by Yamaha’s Venova. The recording is made with an iPad. More videos to follow, including “how to make a Cylisax“. The Cylisax is a very new instrument and still in the developmental stages. (I have already done another design in wood).
