Follow me : Twitter : Facebook : Instagram : TikTok: @joyouslivingbytfc How to make mushrooom broth - 8 cups (2 quarts or 2 liters) water 1/2 an onion - halved6 garlic cloves - smashed 1 stalk celery 1 carrot - halved 2 bay leaves 1/2 tablespoon whole peppercorns Fresh thyme — a good 12 sprigs 12 dried Shiitake mushrooms* 4 oz. sliced baby Bella mushrooms** 5 oz. fresh Shiitake mushrooms — sliced Salt Place all the ingredients in a pot and cover it. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer for about 1 hour. Strain the broth. You can keep the mushrooms for further use — mince them and make burgers or a pie or stir fry them. Keep this is the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze for 2 months. Use the broth for making soups or rice or enjoy it on it’s own for a soothing, mellow treat. *Dried mushrooms will give the broth a deeper flavor but it you don’t have them it is fine.
