More great jazz and blues:
Snooks Eaglin was a New Orleans blues guitarist and was recorded by Harry Oster in the late fifties singing and playing acoustic guitar. Those records made the wider public think he was an old time acoustic bluesman, but actually he mostly played with a full lineup.
He recorded some very fine albums, both earlier on but also in the 80s and 90s with different lineups. He also partook in the recording sessions of the Wild Magnolias, the mardi gras indian band.
His special attack on the guitar, and his enormous repetoire made his music stand out from the crowd.
This clip was recorded October 23, 1985 at Storyville Jazz Hall in New Orleans
