Ciacona In G minor for flute and baroque lute by S.L. Weiss
Ciacona by Sylvius Leopold Weiss. This piece is the final movement of the duo sonata number four from the London Manuscript. The original flute part has not survived, so we are playing a reconstruction of the part by Michael Cardin.
Played by the Lark Duo: Zina Kaynarska on flute, and Shannon Millard on Dresden Guitar. The Dresden guitar is a thirteen-string guitar, conceived and built by luthier Michael Thames to play the baroque lute repertoire. Recorded by Allan Neuendorf at New Village Studios, Burwood Music Centre.
