Tremarctos ornatus – the real Paddington Bear

Exploration Sira researchers placed camera traps in the Sira Communal Reserve in Peru, confirming the presence of the vulnerable spectacled bear - Tremarctos ornatus. Also known as Spectacled Bear or Andean Bear, Tremarctos ornatus is endemic to the Tropical Andes and the only extant species of bear in South America.
