The Longhorn Bar & Grill Deepwater has a long history, providing Cobb & Co services since it first opened its doors in 1856 this historic pub still offers the history of the region, the area was a large farming family occupied in 1839 by William Cooins for the Windeyer brothers that covered in 1848 their run over 60,000 acres, that need bread, blacksmiths, workers, churches and a town developed into a cosmopolitan country village with the railway station was opened in 1886. The Deepwater Public School was established in 1894. You will find most of the old buildings still in existence, the Deepwater Hotel, Picture Theatre, Court House, Post Office, School of Arts, General Store are still standing.
