Punjab once Lahore to Delhi before partition the festival of sawan month TEEJ was celebrated with full enthusiasm. On this day all family members near & dear ones assemble under the tree and make Peengh Juhlla, which is a swing having a wooden seat hanging by two ropes or chains from a metal frame or tree. Times changed but the tradition and festival rituals are still in the mind of Punjabi families. But the system of celebration in the city has been changed now women started to celebrate this programme in some hotel or restaurant. On the music of the DJ they have a dance.
