As long as your broken lighter still has a spark, you can use that spark on steel wool to create a flame. I recommend placing your kindling alongside or wrapped around the steel wool to help it ignite, as the sparks on the steel wool don’t last too long. I used some scrunched up paperbark with my fire starter. You definitely need to blow on it to get a real fire going!
