Bach - Prelude and fugue in C major BWV 545 - Jacobs | Netherlands Bach Society

The Prelude and fugue in C major, performed by Bart Jacobs for All of Bach, starts off with great self-assurance. With hops, steps and jumps, the pedal goes to a throbbing low C three times, while the right hand builds up a full chord. The equally self-assured fugue is rooted firmly in the key of C major, which is never really called into question. Recorded for the project All of Bach on September 22nd 2016 at St Bavo’s Church, Haarlem.
