In this video, I show you a rhythmical concept which I call “letting go the 1“. This simply means: Try writing a riff or rhythm where you play syncopated accents, and these accents never fall on the 1st note of your beat. NEVER! Textures’ song “Stream of consciousness“ is a great example of this, I analyze this groove and show how YOU can construct this kind of grooves. It is an awesome training for your rhythmic mind, and a fun exercise!
