Minor Alegrias Flamenco Guitar - Ben Woods - ALEGRIAS en MINOR

Flamenco Guitar Alegrias in a minor key, written by yours truly, Tabs & Notation available: Alegrias (meaning happiness) is usually played in a major key, and is a very cool, structured Flamenco dance form in 12/8 time with lots of different parts and moods. And although I love playing the happy Alegrias for dancers over the past 20 years, it’s always been kind of a drag to practice. To me it feels a little corny or cheesy, it’s just not my style. So I did something about it, I rewrote my falsettas and letras in a minor key. You may notice I have replaced some of my picado and alzapua runs with ’Alternail’ technique. It’s becoming a more comfortable alternative for me. This piece has all the parts to a traditional Alegrias dance number: Entrada, letra (por romanze), remate, letra tradicional, remate, silencio, escobilla, bulerias de Cadiz, cierre.
