SOPHIE: THE MEGAMIX (RIP 1986-2021) [VIDEO MASHUP]

I’m heartbroken. I actually started work on this mashup in December. I had always wanted to make a SOPHIE megamix, and since we finally had OOEPUI’s instrumentals, I could finally do it. I was planning on releasing it before the end of January, but life got in the way. And here we are. Our angel has left us. I wanted to release this to give her a grand send-off that she deserves. This mashup shows only a glimpse of how many people she’s touched in her short time on Earth, and how versatile she was as a musician. SOPHIE was one of my favourite artists and she effected me deeply, but I can only imagine that it would be even more for others, especially trans musicians who she opened doors in the industry for. She was a trailblazer, an icon, a genius, and a queen. Both the music industry and the LGBT community have suffered an immense loss.
