Mystical Orthodox Prayer Chant: Thy Resurrection (Deine Auferstehung)

Thy Resurrection (German: Deine Auferstehung) is an ancient mystical christian prayer chant which is sung in christian-orthodox liturgies in the Easter celebration of the Ressurrection of Christ worldwide. As usual in the orthodox tradition, it is originally sung by choir and voices only. I created a new interpretation of it in the way it resonates in my heart, using the German language. The Chant combines elements of worship, purification of the heart, connecting with God and requesting the help of the Divine. In the moving easter liturgy, there burns a candle on the altar that is never extinguished (the “unsleeping light“). At midnight, the Paschal Matins start and the priest lights his triple candle, the Paschal Trikirion, from the unsleeping fire, symbolizing the invincible light in the darkness of the world. Leaving the altar, he sings to the people: “Come receive the light from the light that is never overtaken by night, and glorify Christ, Who is risen from the dead!“ The
