Germany: Right-wing riots break out in Leipzig on LEGIDA’s one-year anniversary

Hundreds of masked right-wing hooligans rioted in Connewitz, a leftist stronghold district of Leipzig, Monday, burning cars, smashing shops and firing pyrotechnics at buildings during the one-year anniversary march of the anti-Muslim LEGIDA movement. The LEGIDA rally was met by thousands of pro-refugee counter-demonstrators. Around 2,000 police officers were deployed to prevent clashes between both groups.
