King Crimson - 21st Century Schizoid Man (BBC Radio Sessions, 1969)

Full Playlist: 21ST CENTURY SCHIZOID MAN (BBC Radio Sessions, 1969) (Fripp, Lake, McDonald, Giles, Sinfield) Recorded at Maida Vale Studios on 6 May 1969, and first broadcast on Top Gear on 11 May 1969, this was the first piece ever recorded by King Crimson. Unfortunately, the original master tapes of this recording have long disappeared from the BBC archives. This version has been revived from an Italian bootleg. This was almost certainly copied, several generations ago, from a BBC transcription disc (an LP record of the original tapes made by the BBC for broadcast purposes). It is possible that some transcription discs still exist, probably in the hands of collectors, but all attempts to find one have so far failed, making this version the best currently available. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Robert Fripp: Guitar Ian McDonald: Woodwind, Keyboards, Mellotron, Vocal Greg Lake: Bass Guitar, Lead Vocal Michael Giles: Drums, Percussion, Vocal Peter Sinfield: Words & Illumination Road Team: Dik Fraser, Richard Vickers Management: David Enthoben, John Gaydon Especial Thanks: Angus Hunking A Ton Prob Production by Robert Fripp & David Singleton on behalf of King Crimson, David and John.
