Simon Kjaer is a Danish football player playing defence for the Denmark National Football Team in World Cup 2022, QATAR. Kjaer captains the Denmark national team also plays for A.C. Milan in Serie A. This is a timelapse Alla Prima oil portrait I did of the excellent Danish footballer. Three-hour full palette painting: The painting process was all done freehand and took roughly three hours from start to finish and the steps are highlighted within the timelapse as ’chapters’. --------------------------- ABOUT THE SERIES (80 Portrait Paintings for World Cup 2022) PORTRAIT EVERY DAY COMMITMENT: As an artist with a deep, personal connection to the World Cup, I set a goal to paint 80 portraits of some of the most talented football players from around the globe. I committed to working on a portrait painting every day for this project on May 28, 2022 and will continue to work on a football portrait every day until the final game of the world cup on December 18, 2022.
