Gay Fiddler Crabs

All I wanted was to watch Florida fiddler crab eat some noodles. Instead, I saw what looked a pair of gay crabs. Yes, these are two male fiddler crabs (Uca pugnax) living in the same burrow. Very odd. Usually, male fiddler crabs are very territorial. Why these two share the same burrow is a mistery. Also, notice that one male crab is right handed, while the other is left handed.
