Medical groups discuss impact of COVID-19 pandemic – October 6, 2021

Representatives from the Canadian Medical Association (CMA) and the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) hold a virtual news conference to provide a summary of an emergency summit that was held the previous evening. The CMA and CNA hosted a discussion about the pandemic’s impact on the health-care system and its workers. More than 30 other national and provincial health organizations took part in the summit. Participants identified key priorities for responding to the ongoing crisis. Speaking with reporters are Dr. Katharine Smart (CMA president), Dr. Abdo Shabah (CMA Quebec board member), and Tim Guest (CNA president).
