Mark Stavish on Necronomicon, Spooky Bishops, Son of Sam, and Possible Demonic Egregore of 1970s NYC

Mark Stavish is Director of Studies at the Institute for Hermetic Studies and author with Inner Traditions. His 2018 book “Egregores“ has led to a great deal of discussion in the esoteric studies community. It has influenced me, as well, and inspired me to contact Mark to ask about his feelings regarding the very bizarre fact that the Son of Sam killings of 1976 to 1977 were occurring at the very same time, and in overlapping locations, with the translation/invention (depending on your perspective) of the Necronomicon, which is one of the most influential occult works of the modern era.
