Jellyfish Invasion in San Diego

My friends and I encountered a moon jellyfish bloom in Mission Bay, San Diego on April 23, 2016. There must have been thousands. We almost called off our paddle board trip, because we obviously didn’t want to get stung. Apparently, however, moon jellyfish rarely sting humans.
