Margay, Shaldon Zoo (29th July 2013)

One of the margays at Shaldon Zoo; this species is a new addition to the zoo and the pair of these cats arrived from Amsterdam on the 24th July 2013. However, because they are still settling into their enclosure at Shaldon Zoo they are still quite shy and only the male ventured outside while I was there. Margays are a species of small wild cat which live in South America.
