DeSantis Campaign Funding Scrutiny Spikes Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is facing fresh scrutiny over his campaign funding and spending, as federal filings show he has spent nearly all of the $15 million he raised in the third quarter. Federal Election Commission filings this month showed DeSantis’s principal campaign committee raised $11.1 million and spent $11 million, leaving DeSantis with only $5 million cash for the primary. Rival Nikki Haley, by comparison, has $9.1 million. While his campaign has raised more than non-Trump Republican rivals, the former president far outstrips them all, having raised around $45 million between July and September.
