Vauxhall VXR8 GTS - Test Drive, In-Depth Tour and Impressions

Time for something a little bit different, the 576bhp Vauxhall VXR8 GTS; the least expensive way to enter the 500bhp club. Starting out as the Holden GEN-F GTS in Australia, the car finds its way to the UK under the Vauxhall name. Following my trip to Le Mans with Corvette, part of the GM group, I started talking to the team from Vauxhall who invited me along to give the VXR8 GTS a drive. Sitting in a category alongside the BMW M5 or Mercedes E63 AMG, but priced at £20k less, it’s certainly an interesting prospect and when you consider the price tag... well... it’s nearly 600hp, has an amazing sounding V8, and it’s under £60k! I introduce the car, take it for a quick test drive and offer some early driving impressions, before showing you around in a little more detail.
