ACL Exam Lachman’s Test, Pivot Shift, Drawer Test performed by Dr. Eric Janssen

Dr. Eric Janssen of SportsMED Orthopaedic Surgery & Spine Center, demonstrates the techniques used in diagnosing an ACL Injury/Tear. A fifteen year old female competitive soccer player came to his office with instability, pain and a prior history of ACL Reconstruction. Dr. Janssen performs the Lachman’s Exam, The Pivot Shift Maneuver and the Drawer Test. All confirm, the patient has torn her anterior cruciate ligament. The MRI further confirms the diagnosis.
